The Prologue is where you start the game after creating your character. Once you leave it, you'll never be able to go back to it.
Be sure to pick up the starting gear offered here. If you happen to miss it, you can still pick up a full set of level 1 armor and level 1 weapons at the trader vendors in Ark (which is the next area you will find yourself in). These vendors are located just north of the Airlock.
